LET’S TAKE A DISTRACTION AND TURN IT INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE- DANCE STYLE

*****NEW FIDGET SPINNER BOARDS*****

The Fidget Spinner DANCE CREATION Board set is a package of 7 pre-set spinner boards, each displaying 7 different DANCE-RELATED movements. Students, in small groups, place a Fidget Spinner in the middle of the board and spin it to indicate a dance movement to choreograph and perform. The students then practice the choreographed movement (after another spin) for the length of time the fidget spinner spins. A student from the group then spins again so that the group can add the next movement to their dance. Their goal is to string 4 to 10 movements together and come up with a unique group dance. The groups can then perform their dance for others to see. This is a GREAT SHAPE America Standard 4 activity. 

The Fidget Spinner Board “Dance” idea came from the following Physical Education Teachers from California. Both are committee members for the Elementary Physical Education Workshop held at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA in July each year.
