SQUIRRELS AND CHIPMUNKS!

This lesson plan and diagram is for a large group physical education class game called "Going over the Hedge". It is a throwing, catching and gathering game targeted for Kindergarten to 3rd grade students. Students (Squirrels and Chipmunks) must get rid of all of the acorns that have fallen from their trees on their side of the yard by throwing them "across the hedge". 

The kids really enjoy this game and they will leave the gym with smiles on their faces and will be asking you if they really have to leave. The game requires some hula hoops, yarn balls and some mats to set upright to make a hedge.
